La Unidad de Rescate, Rehabilitación y Reubicación de Fauna Silvestre de Pachuca realizó la liberación de 23 ejemplares que concluyeron satisfactoriamente su proceso de rehabilitación, como resultado del trabajo coordinado entre instituciones para favorecer su recuperación y retorno a su hábitat natural.
En esta jornada participaron la Procuraduría Federal de Protección al Ambiente (PROFEPA), la Reserva de la Biósfera de Metztitlán, así como las direcciones de Ecología de Atotonilco El Grande y Eloxochitlán.
Entre los ejemplares liberados se encuentran nueve tlacuaches, cuatro cincuates, dos cernícalos, dos cascabeles, dos pájaros carpinteros, un milano, un cacomixtle, un búho y una culebra.
El presidente municipal de Pachuca, Jorge Reyes, destacó que la protección de la fauna silvestre requiere de acciones permanentes y de la suma de esfuerzos entre instituciones, autoridades y ciudadanía.
Con esta liberación, suman 105 ejemplares rehabilitados y reintegrados a su hábitat natural durante 2026. Cada uno de ellos recibió atención y manejo especializado de acuerdo con sus necesidades, con el objetivo de recuperar sus condiciones para una vida independiente en su entorno natural.
El trabajo de la Unidad de Rescate, Rehabilitación y Reubicación de Fauna Silvestre de Pachuca forma parte de las acciones para fortalecer la protección de la biodiversidad y brindar una respuesta especializada ante el ingreso de ejemplares que requieren atención antes de regresar a la vida silvestre.
La coordinación entre autoridades ambientales y municipales permite dar continuidad a estos procesos y contribuir a la conservación de las especies, priorizando en cada caso su recuperación y reintegración responsable al medio natural.
